CAS Colour and Sketches Challenge 152

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!  Well what a day we've had, which is why I'm blogging so late!  We went to Emily's Swimming lesson early this morning (only 2 more to go, not that I'm counting), we then went out to breakfast, then we've spent the rest of the day sorting things out.  It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas!

I have had a little break from organising Birthday's and Christmas, and I've used the CAS Colour and Sketches Challenge 152 to make this card.

I loved this sketch and the idea popped into my head straight away.  The doilies are the perfect circle, and are lovely with a piece of card stock mounted to them.  I also curved my Photopolymer  Stamp slightly, so that the sentiment took the same lines as the doily.  This sketch has definitely made it's way into my sketch library!  I love it.

Stampin' Up! Products used:
Whisper White Card stock
Doily
Night of Navy Card stock
2.5" Circle Punch
Silver Glimmer Paper
Medium Star Punch
Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Ink
Happy Scenes Stamp Set

  2. Love how the dark blue semi circvles tone down the frilliness of the doilies and keep your card CAS. Thanks for playing and entering the DT call at CC&S.

  3. The navy semicircles really show off the sparkly star! I like how you curved the sentiment to fit to the circle. Thanks for sharing your card with us at CC&S, and good luck in the DT call!

  4. Great take on the sketch, Sam. The sparkly star looks lovely on the navy. I never know what to do with doilies but seeing how you have used them here I'm inspired to give them a go. So glad you playing along again this week at CC&S
