Second Lottie Loves Paper Guest Design Team Layout

Happy Friyay everyone!!  I’m sooo glad we are on the last working day of the week, and what better way to end it than having another Lottie Loves Paper Guest Design Team Layout up on all the various sites.

The Heidi Swapp Journalling Pieces are lovely, and inspired this layout.  I never call goals goals, as if I don’t achieve them, I feel disappointed.  If I call them intentions, then the pressure to do them is abit less.  It’s cheating I know, but there are no rules, right?

The numbers from Heidi Swapp are also a favourite and matched my title from Bramble Fox perfectly.

I even tried to match my pen colour to the Journalling Pieces to give the layout some continuity.  The this is it Card seemed appropriate for my last intention!

My first Guest DT Layout for Lottie Loves Paper

Hey there, good to see you. I hope your January is going well!

I’m on the Lottie Loves Paper sires today with my first Guest Design Team Layout.  Sarah Jayne puts together gorgeous kits, and this kit, Todays Adventure, is no exception.  It’s beautiful.

I wanted to use this picture of Emily in yellow agains the yellow wall, and the black striped paper was the perfect way to make the photo pop.

I am in love with these planner tassels from American Crafts Sear Lizzy Collection.  One of these may make its way into my planner.

The yellow Alphas were from my own stash, but they compliment the layout and photo perfectly.  The Enamel Dots also add abotnof detail.

I’m back again with another Gueat DT Layout on Friday, so watch this space.

In the meantime, head over to Sarah’s shop  -

First Stick it Down Design Team Layout of the Year!

Hello Everyone, thanks for stopping by!  If I've not wished you a Happy New Year yet, then Happy New Year!!  It seems like a long time ago now!

I'm really pleased to remain on the Stick it Down Design Team for the start of 2019!

I really like the first sketch we were given, and immediately I knew what I was going to scrap!  Here is the sketch.

I love this sketch and it really took me out of my comfort zone!  I don't normally scrap in one corner, but it appealed to me straight away.  Here is my layout.

I love the paper in the Echo Park Paper Co Love Autumn collection, and I had the perfect photo of an tree in full autumn colour that I had taken when were in Lanark in October.   This layout really showcases all of the different papers and the different colours.

Please hop over to the Stick it Down Blog to check out all the other Design Team members designs.  I look forward to seeing all your layouts!

A challenging sketch

Hey there good to see you again! Hope your new year is going well!

Over on the Lottie Loves Paper Forum, the lovely Laura Rumble posted a sketch for us to try.

I loved the look of this sketch, however I knew it was going to be challenging, but I gave it a go anyway!

This my layout using the sketch.  I’ve used Echo Park Paper Co Love Winter Collection and a couple of Bramble Fox Perspextives.

Because I’ve used lots of different patterned papers, I’ve inked the edges so that there is definition between the different patterns.

I love this sketch and will probably use it again

Happy New Year News!

Happy New Year!!  Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year.  Our house was very quiet, as both Emily and Craig were quite ill with Tonsillitis and Flu.  Thankfully, they are both recovering well.

I do have some exciting news though!!!

I’m finally able to tell everyone that I will be guest designing for Lottie Loves Paper for January and some of February!!

Head over to to see what I get up to with the January kit!!

I’m so excited!!!

Uniform Parade

Hey there and welcome to my last post of the year!!!  Where has the year gone!!

Back in September, I was asked by Natalie of For The Lovd of Pretty Paper to be a guest designer for the monthly challenge.

The theme was stationery.

Of course, this theme was perfect for the photos of Emilys new school uniform parade!  Love the fidget spinner!!

That’s all from me for this year, so I’d just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Travel Adventure

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!  Today my layout is based on a sketch by Laura Rumble, which I love.

The sketch required stickers or Ephemera tucked under the cardstock.

I’ve used the picture I took of us crossing the Tamar Bridge, and put travel stickers under my patterned paper.

I used another Bramble Fox Perspextive along with a puffy word for the title.
