Stick it Down DT Layout - Happy Days in the Sun

Hey there, good to see you again!  Today I'm showcasing my DT Layout for Stick it Down.  As you hopefully know now, the challenges are set on sketches.  I had to ponder this sketch for a little while, then the perfect photo's came along!

Here's the sketch.

I immediately loved how the photo's were arranged, they take your eye around the layout.  I've never really put papers across the corners of my layouts, but I liked the effect this had on my layout.

This is my interpretation of the sketch.  The perfect photo's of my Great Niece, Daisy, on the beach came along, and I knew that they would go with this sketch design.  I really like the My Mind's Eye Good Vibes collection, and knew this would go well for this layout.

Make sure you hop over to the Stick it Down blog to see the rest of the Design Teams Layout's. See you again soon!

Cheers Layout

Hey!  Hope you’re all ok!  This layout was scrapped for a challenge by Crop in the Country. The challenge was to scrap a layout of your favourite tipple.

Of course, mine is Gin and Tonic in my new glass!

I’ve got a few pots of Starlight Paint in my stash, and I’ve not really used them.  The Gin in the glass is pink, so I decided to use my Dried Rose Starlight paint on a cheers cut file. The paint is metallic and really sparkly!

I struggle with mixed media, but will definitely use these paints on layouts again!

Fun & Games Layout

Hey there!!  I think I’ve said before that when Craig goes away with work, he always says that it’s hard work, and I know it is, but he nearly always sends me silly photos!

These are the latest silly photos he sent me when he was at the NEC in March.  These photos were brilliant to use with the GoGo Getaway Challenge sketch.

The sketch was fantastic, and I will use it again.  I’ve used my Silhouette to cut out the scribble circles for the background, and used some Bramble Fox Perspextives.  I will get a sensible photo of Craig one day, honest.

A List Layout

Hey there!  I’m still on the NSD Challenges!!  This is in fact the last one!

This challenge was to scrap a layout of a list.  This year I’m keeping a list in my diary of all the layouts I complete, just out of interest more than anything.  This list is what I’ve used for this challenge.

I’ve also used a sketch from Scrapbook.com for this layout. I love sketches, and they really help to kick start your creativity. Sometimes, all I need to do is look through my pins on Pinterest and inspiration strikes!

I loved doing various challenges for various sites for NSD, and will certainly do so again next year!

An English Princess Layout

Hey there, good to see you again!  Well I’m still showcasing NSD challenge layouts!

For this challenge, we had to scrap about something that was very British, and I couldn’t think of anything better than an English Princess.

As Princess Diana was known as the Queen of Hearts, I thought this Pinkfresh Studio paper was perfect!  Again, because the photo was black and white, I could get away with the riot of colour!!  My own little tribute to a lovely lady.

Please note, the image of Princess Diana is copyrighted and belongs to Kensington Palace.

Beautiful Layout

Hey there! I’m showcasing another NSDchallenge Layout today.

Now I love fussy cutting, and it’s a good job I do, as this challenge was just to use scissors to cut out for your layout.

Paige Taylor’s Pick me Up Collection had a piece of Card stock that I really wanted to use. The paper was full of gold frames, so all of the frames and words have been cut out using scissors.

I’ve also used a Bramble Fox Butterfly Perspextive that was an exclusive in a Fox Box monthly subscription kit.  I love this kit and it’s really good value!

I love this photo of Emily that I took in Padstow, and the Beautiful Perspextive just seemed to fit.  I also included a watermelon on the Page, which Emily loves.

Dislikes & Likes Layout

Hey there, thanks for stopping by! We are carrying on with the NSD challenges, and this is my 3rd one.

We had to use a sketch and detail our likes and dislikes.  Of course I had to put tea/coffee and chocolate as my likes!

I’ve used American Crafts Shimelle Box of Crayons Collection.  This collection is so colourful that I wanted to use it to make a cheery layout.  I’ve also snuck some butterflies onto the layout, which is anothe like of mine!
