Learning from the Master Layout

Hey there, good to see you again!  James started work last year, and he's been saving hard to buy himself a new car.  He finally managed to save enough to buy himself a new car earlier this year.

Now he's got a new car, he doesn't want to take it to the hand wash car washes, he wants to wash his car himself.  Enter Craig!  When Craig was a lowly apprentice working for Vauxhall Rally Team, he was taught to valet a car, so our cars are valeted, never just cleaned.  So who better than Craig to teach James to wash his car properly.  It took James about 2 hours!

I love the fact that Craig is in the side of the photo, but you get a clear view of James washing the car, which I have to say is a bit of a novelty!

Our First Ice Hockey Game Layout

Hey there, good to see you!  Thanks for stopping by!  A few months ago, we went to our first Ice Hockey Game, which was on our bucket list to do.

Emily's school was selling the tickets, and they received the commission for any ticket sales.  Emily school is saving to build a kitchen, so we bought some tickets to support our school.

Needless to say that we loved the game, and we've been again since.  We are just waiting for the new season to start, and  Emily has already requested that we go again!

Here is the layout to commemorate the game.

I love the photo's that I took.  The top photo is both the teams standing for the National Anthem, and the second is the winning score (to us of course!).  I used my Silhouette to cut out the ice hockey title, and I wanted to add some stars for this layout.

Crafty and Happy

Hey there, hope you're having a good week!  I love new Scrapbook collections and when I saw this one, I had to purchase it (bang goes my no spend!!).

This layout is using the Simple Stories Crafty Girl Collection, and a layout of me and my friend Tracy at a GoGo Retreat we went to last year!

I love the background card stock with the different girls on it, and it seemed very appropriate for the photo!  This layout came together really quickly, and I love it.

My first Stick it Down Design Team Layout!

Hey there good to see you again!  Well today is a big day for me, as I'm showing casing my first Stick it Down Design Team Layout.

I was asked totally out of the blue by Ashley to join, and I was thrilled to accept!  I'm a member of the Single Page Team, which means that we create a single layout from the sketch for the month.

Here is the sketch that I had to use for May:

I loved this sketch when I saw it, and I was looking forward to sewing (what I hear you shout!!).

This is my interpretation of the sketch:

I love this layout, and may use this design and cut file again!  I love this photo of James, and I remember the fun we had that day every time I look at it, hence the title, which of course is a Bramble Fox Perspective!

To see other layouts by the talented Design Team, head over to the Stick it Down Blog.

Adore Today

Hey there, good to see you again!  Another layout using Cocoa Vanilla Studio More than Words collection.  I did tell you I loved it.

I was very spoilt on Mother's Day this year, and was bought some Gucci Jewellery.  I knew that I had to scrap the picture.  Because the bags and boxes were a grey/silver colours, I knew the photo would go with this collection (the grey in this collection is nearly the same as Tim Holtz Hickory Smoke Ink).

When I opened my present, I loved the Beaverbrooks tie on the bag, which I've used on the layout.  Not only is it a keepsake, but it adds dimension to your layout.

I used the ephemera as layers for the title and to focus on the Beaverbrooks tag.  I've left as much as I can lose to again add dimension to the layout.  I also fussy cut the flower card stock, so it didn't have a straight edge.  I loved this effect, and I'll do this again on another layout.

Mummy’s Day Afternoon Tea

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!  This year, we are seeing some pretty major milestones being recognised for Emily as she finishes her last few months of Primary School, and is preparing to go to Secondary School.

School held an afternoon tea for mum's for Mother's Day, so I went into school and had a Scone and Jam with  Emily.  Emily took the selfie as I'm not very good at taking photo's.  It was a fun afternoon, and Emily was chuffed as she was able to leave school early.

This is another new collection from Bo Bunny called Stay Awhile, and contains blues, browns and greens.  The red in my photo complimented this collection brilliantly.

This was my last ever Mother's Day event in Primary School, so it was kind of sad, but I'm so glad that I was able to scrap this memory to keep forever!

Sweet & Beautiful

Hi, thanks for stopping by!  It's great to see you again!  Today I'm showcasing a layout using the Cocoa Vanilla Studio More than Words Collection, which I absolutely love.  Cocoa Vanilla Studio have bought out a couple of collections that I adore, and this is the second one.

I've used a photo of Emily at Brimham Rocks in Yorkshire for this layout.  Not only is it a lovely layout, the photo is fairly neutral in colour, so goes with this collection of subtle colours.

I normally keep my photo's to one side of my layouts, but I decided to use a square feature on this layout.  Scrapbooking for me is about trying new things, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.  I use other people's layouts as inspiration, and Pinterest.

My other love is the Perspectives from Bramble Fox, and Morag has bought some new designs out.  I've used one of the new borders in Pink on this layout, a feather and an Ampersand.

If you've not seen Perspectives before, head over to www.bramblefox.co.uk and take a look.  I subscribe to a monthly Fox Box and I love it!!
