This layout caused me problems in no uncertain terms!! The papers are from April's My Creative Scrapbook Kit, and whilst they are beautiful, all the papers are blue and yellow, so I had to get the layering just right. I used the sketch in my kit and had every intentions of entering their sketch challenge, but I was too late, I missed the deadline.
The sketch was quite intricate, coupled with the fact that all the papers were the same muted colours caused me some issues. I broke this up by using a small 4.5" doily and I punched a doily using my new Tim Holtz Doily Edger die. I then used the Noteworthy Journalling blocks and butterflies, Bo Bunny Country Garden stickers, Bo Bunny Trinkets and Prima Marketing Meadow Lark flowers to layer around the bottom of the photo.
I used a Zva Creative gem flourish to add some interest up the side of the layout, and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Scattered Straw to colour the Prima Flower.
A close up of the layering on the opposite side of my layout. I love the blue and yellow together, broken up by the white doily in the middle, and thought the little watering can was cute!
