This layout has been completed using a sketch, which I loved. I love the fact that the sketch called for little bits of many elements, apart from the embellishment down the side.
I've used Crate Paper, Paper Heart collection papers and sticker sheet. I also used my XCut Postage stamp punches to make a layered square embellishment, then used my Martha Stewart Punch to punch out the butterflies. I always put gems up the centre of my butterflies to add a little bit of sparkle!
The title was made up using American Crafts natural thickers. Rather than colouring them to match my layout, I left them the natural chipboard colour and used Rangers Glossy Accents to cover them. This adds a bit of dimension to the title, and gives it a bit of a shine! The side border was made using Tim Holtz Tissue tape, and a border from the sticker elements sheet. Again, the journalling was kept very simple, so as not to detract from the overall look of the layout. I want readers to look at the elements on my layout, not so much my journalling, because Emily will always be beautiful to me!
