I always take a photo of James and Emily on their birthday, and this is James on his 13th Birthday! He is definitely my cool dude - he likes his hair a bit longer, and the only names that seem to be on his clothes and shoes are Superdry, Hollister and Converse! See told ya - My Cool Dude!!!!
I've used a Basic Grey sheet of 12 x 12 called Whats Up in flight and MME follow your heart by amazing. The papers looks a bit grungy, but are fairly plain. I then used a Kaisercraft Bubblewrap stamp and a Prima Chalk ink in Turquoise Stone for the background. I've also used an Echo Park This n That journalling card.
This is the embellishment on the top right hand corner of my layout. I've used Echo Park This n That, Vintage fans for the card stock ribbon (which I love at the moment), then punched out a 1" circle in Yellow Bazzil card stock, then used a little blue button out of my stash and green Bakers Twine from Queen & Co. The butterflies are stencils used from Punched out card stock with another Prima Chalk ink.
I love this wording and think it's wording that I'm going to use again. I saw this in Scrapbook Magazine (issue 63, Page 21 by Louise Collins) and thought I would give it a go. I cut out 4cm squares in the woodgrain paper and punched out four 1" circles in the same card stock, then cut 3cm squares from the blue card stock, and mounted it all together. Putting Faux stitching around the blue card stock with Tim Holtz Distress Pen in Stormy Sky just finished it off!

Wow...I'm so glad you were inspired by one of my layouts! It's a fabulous take on the page! Lou x
