My good friend, Ally, hit the big ole 40 this week, and I just had to make her a card!
I've seen the punching technique on many layouts just lately where you punch strips of the same colour card as the background, so I decided to try it on Ally's card. I punched strips of white card stock using Martha Stewart Doily punch and 2 types of Ribbon punches, and attached them to the white card. I then used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the butterflies, and my Papermania number stamps for the 40.
As well as the card being all pretty, why not the envelope too?! I punched a strip of white card using a ribbon punch, and added a butterfly and a gem to match the card. See, you can get just as creative with your envelope!!
I've seen this technique used alot too - it does look good - fab card x
ReplyDeleteAnd this card was even more beautiful in real life! Thank you Sam, I love it! Grrrrr to the person who knocked the bling off the butterfly on the envelope too!!! lol
