Beach Babe

When we went to Cornwall last year, we discovered that Emily was very much a beach babe!!  This was her first proper visit to the beach, hence the inappropriate shorts and vest top, which she loved!  Emily spent most of the time we were there just running into the shallow waters and out again!

I've always scrapped 6 x 4 photos, so I decided to cut one of the photo's down into a slightly smaller size and matt it onto white card!  My favourite embellishment are butterflies at the moment, and with a very soft yellow, I thought they were a good compliment.

I used layering along the bottom of my photo again!  I loved the calendar ruler that I had on patterned paper, so I cut this off to use, and as we were in Cornwall in July, I used pearls to highlight the month this photo was taken.  I used my Martha Stewart Doily punch to punch the red card stock and layered them together.  I used my scalloped circle punch to make the base of my layering, and used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink to make it stand out.   The flag is October Afternoon, received in my Cocoa Daisy kit, and the pendant is Pink Paislee.

I used another strip of red card stock punched with the doily punch again, and another ruler strip.  My Martha Stewart butterfly punch was also used and pearls just finished off the middle of my butterflies.

Rather than sticking the butterflies to my layout flat, I used Ranger glaze in between the two butterflies to give some dimension to the wings.
