A box using the new Gift Box Punch Board

Hi, good to see you again!  Hope you had a good weekend!

I did a Stampin' Up! Party on Friday night for my mum, so I wanted to make her a useful Hostess Gift. In the new Seasonal Catalogue, we have a new punch board that makes Gift Boxes.  Now, I hear what you're saying…. surely you can make these using the envelope punch board, and you're right, you can. However, if you're like me, and don't have a huge amount of time to play, then the Gift Box Punch Board is exactly the thing for you.

Here is what I made for my mum.

I made the box from our new Kraft Card stock, and then decorated it with Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack.  This just cried out for 4 x 4 Christmas Cards.

These are the cards I made to go in the box.  Again, I used the new Kraft Card stock, and I decided to keep the cards very simple.  I also decided to make cards with 2 different sentiments (one above, one below).

In total, the box and cards took around an hour to complete, and my mum was thrilled with her gift.

Stampin' Up! Products used:
Gift Box Punch Board
Kraft Card stock
Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack
Endless Wishes Stamp Set
Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Ink
Marina Mist Classic Stampin' Ink

  1. Love this set, very pretty set, not surprised your mum was pleased. Yes I am starting to see the advantage of another board. Really love that this closes with ribbon. It would be great if you will share with us the size of card used for this box, the markings you punched and scored and how you did the closure please Sam. Many thanks Sam.

  2. Hi Linda, I think the card size was 9 x 9", and if you have the new Gift Box Punch Board it will tell you where to score and punch. For the top, I left one set of flaps as they were, then cut off the top 2, punch holes in it, put eyelets through, then tied it with ribbon. I hope this helps….
