Believe it or not, I still do Scrapbook, even though I blog mostly cards now. On the 14th September, I went and finally met a friend of mine, MJ, and joined her crop for the day, where I completed 2 layouts. This is the first layout I completed!
This picture of Emily was taken in the Summer when we visited York. She loves merry go rounds, and asked to have a go, well demanded really, when she spotted this in York town. For the first time, Emily was big enough to go on the ride on her own. Doesn't she look pleased with herself?!
Can you see what's unusual with the first picture on the layout?! The picture is actually attached to a window! I cut an aperture out of the base card stock, and then the same size window out of the Island Indigo complimentary card stock, and attached part of an acetate sheet out of the Quatrefancy Designer Series Paper. The cutting of the window was a lot of work and fiddly, but I'm really pleased with the effect.
