My Parents had their 50th Wedding Anniversary the middle of September, and I didn't make them traditional Golden Wedding Anniversary Cards.
The first card was made at the lovely Lynne's card class! I was worried because it was beige and black that it wasn't really Wedding Anniversary, but my parents loved it! Unfortunately the flocked paper is now retired, which is a huge shame. The rosette is made by using the one and three quarter scalloped punch and the score board. If you'd like to know how I made it, e mail me by clicking here. The middle of the rosette has a flower from the Mixed Bunch Stamp set over the top, and it's all held together using an Antique Brad.
I wanted my parents cards to be different, so I made this folding card, which is easier to make than it looks. Again, I've used the Stampin' Up! Brights Designer Series Paper (Old Olive and Daffodil Delight). The base card is made using Brown Cardstock, and I've used both sides of the Old Olive Designer Paper to decorate the folds. The band is made of the Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper, and I stamped a flower from the Mixed Bunch stamp set in Old Olive and attached to the band.
The card insert is a piece of the Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper, with a piece of Whisper White card stock attached. I punched a piece of Old Olive paper with the now retired Tab Punch and the butterfly is stamped using the also retired bliss stamp set. The Congrats stamp is from a Hostess set out of the last Annual Catalogue.
I like this folding card, so I'm sure you'll see this on my blog again using stash and stamps from the new Annual Catalogue!
If I can take some good photo's of my layouts that I've completed, these will appear on my blog over the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by..!
Sam
