It comes to us all, and unfortunately, both Craig and I are 40 towards the end of this year (40 and married 19 years!!). We went to Wales in June and visited a slate mine, where we came across a fantastic graffiti picture! The slate mine is celebrating 40 years too, so we had to have our picture taken with the art, as it depicted the year we were born and the year we're both turning 40!
This layout has been completed using a Cocoa Daisy's July Sketch Challenge, which I love! I love the layered papers and the journalling tag poking out of the top! The blue and black are the dominant colours, but I wanted to pick out the pink of my coat. The papers I've used are Basic Grey pb&j - thermos, American Crafts Amy Tangerine Sketchbook - Saffron Study and American Crafts Fresh Squeezed - Orange Marmalade, which picked out all the colours from my photo brilliantly.
Paperchase do their version of Washi tape, called paper tape, which I used to complete this rosette. This paper tape was thicker than the normal tissue/washi tape, but it looks lovely.
Because the Paper Tape is a bit thicker than normal, it gives the rosette a lovely shape, and hopefully it will not get squashed in my album! The Paperchase Paper Tapes are a bargain at £3 for three rolls of tape!
Watch later on in the week for another post about Washi/Tissue/Paper tape!
Thanks for stopping by!

Great layout! I love the ribbon rosette. Beautiful. jenx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen! I do like the tissue paper rosettes. This one was quite nice to do as the Paperchase tape is thicker.
