Emily has a birthday party to go to today, and with my vow at the beginning of the year to make all my cards, I set to work making Emily's friend a card!
I've used odds and ends for this card, so unfortunately I can't tell you what papers I've used. I have used a Hobby Craft Kraft Card, and layered the card with a pale card stock, then a pink card stock (birthday party is for a girl, so only pink will do!). I've used American Thickers to put the greeting on the card, and the butterflies were cut using my Stampin' Up Butterfly cut and embossing die, which can be ordered through Lynne Fahey, my Stampin Up demonstrator, by clicking on this link. I've then inked the edges of the butterflies in Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink to give a bit of definition.
When I'm gluing my butterflies down, I use Ranger Glossy Accents to stick them to the card, then I put a blob of Glossy Accent under each wing, so that it dries holding the wings up. It makes the butterflies look as if they are flying off the card!
Thanks for stopping by!
