A Scrapbook Layout

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!  Sorry I've been quiet for the last week.  I had some decisions to make about my crafting, which were not easy, but I'm happier for having made them.

I've cancelled my classes for March and April to give myself a breather, so I'm going to spend the next 10 weeks or so crafting for my pleasure.  You will still see some cards on my blog, but I'm going to mix this in with some Scrapbook Layouts (my first love), and maybe some other projects.

So this evening, I'm going to show you a layout I completed.  You know I'm proud of my son, James, right?  Well, I took some pictures of him when he was on Remembrance Sunday Parade with Air Cadets, and he was trying not to laugh.

This layout came together so easy, and I just love the smirk on James's face.  I'm always proud of my son, but never more than when he's on parade for Remembrance Sunday.  I have been known to well up a little….. OK well maybe alot!

Here you can see the elements I've used a bit better.  I didn't want to take too much away from the photo, so I used complimenting papers and some stickers.  The background was completed using my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I hope this is another set that doesn't retire anytime soon.  This stamp set is so versatile!   I also distressed the papers to add texture, but not to detract from the Photo.
