2013 Yearbook...

Every year I complete a Yearbook, apart from last year!  Things just took over my life, and I didn't complete one, and I missed completing it!  So this is my year to make another yearbook, and I've opted for an 8 x 8!  It's good to change the size of your pages every so often.

January pages in my yearbook can only be about one thing.   Emily's birthday party!  This year she was 6, and wanted to go bowling.

I loved the papers, which are from my own stash, and because Emily was very neutral, I didn't really have to worry about the colours.  Pink and green seemed to be a natural choice, as were the butterflies.

I carried on with the colour scheme on page 2, but decided to use the pink base card and accent it with black and green, rather than having a second black page.  I like to mix and match my pages, perhaps reversing the colours on page 2 to give some contrast.  I also carried on with the butterfly theme, so it tied in with page 1.

On the second page, I used a stencil and the Stampin' Up! Colour Spritzer Tool.  If you've not seen one of these tools in action, try and get to a Workshop or class where it's being demo'd!  The Colour Spritzer tool turns your Stampin' Write Markers into an airbrush!  I perhaps wouldn't recommend trying to complete a whole stencil like I have, but it's definitely a technique to try!
