Every year I try to excel myself a little bit and make teachers presents for Emily. Well, firstly I did this for James, but also why wouldn't I make anything?!
If you've been following my blog for a little while, you know that I absolutely adore Paperchase, and most Christmases finds me in there seeing what they have that I can use for presents. This year was no exception!
This is this years Christmas present for both the Year 1 Teachers (along with a chocolate treat)! The book is gorgeous, was perfect for stamping and embellishing, and is a bit unusual (see below). The book was bought with the lovely red stitching all around the edge!
This book has lined paper one side and blank paper the other side, hence why the book folds out as above. I might just buy a few of these and keep them in my stock! So enough about the book!! How did I stamp and embellish it, and what products did I use!
Here is a close up of the cover! Because the book has to be turned over to use one set of pages, I didn't want anything that stood up too far from the cover! I used my Mixed Bunch Stamps and Crumb Cake ink to stamp the background. I then embossed the Real Red Cardstock with the Plenty a Petals Embossing folder. I stamped the Papillion Potpourri stamps in Real Red and Rich Razzleberry, and punched them out using the matching Stampin' Up! Punch. I mounted the Whisper White card stock on the embossed Real Red Cardstock, after stamping the word notes, then glued the butterflies in place and added the gems. Very simple, but very effective.
Here are the fab Stampin' Up! Products that I used:

Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
