This class was taught by Sam Ball and uses real wood veneer!! The papers were lovely, and I was very proud of myself for free drawing the bark pattern on the background!
The was the second class by Sam Ball, which was a good as the first class! The gold frame in the middle of the Layout is a foam frame by Making Memories, which was then gold leafed. The gold leafing was really fiddly, but I love the effect.
I loved this class by Helen Miles! Again, Helen used wood veneer, and Glimmerz paint, which was a great effect. I promptly went and bought four of the Glimmerz paint to go with the wood veneer I'd bought earlier!!
This class by Helen Miles was great, and I really enjoyed this one!!! The Papers (October Afternoon I think) were busy, which I'm not very prone to using, but they complimented each other perfectly! We also got messy with a doilly, like you used to find on cake plates when you went to visit Nanna, and acrylic paint!!
This photo captures how the doily flowers were folded so that you added dimension to your Layout. I'm going to try this technique again on some other paper!
This class taught by Sheena Rowlands was a great class if you want to hide your journalling, but in a different way! The journalling papers on the right of this Layout is a waterfall journalling spot! This is perfect if you want to put journalling on your Layouts, but don't necessarily want people to read it or for it to be the focal point of the layout! I've not completed the journalling on my layout, but can you guess what I'm going to write about?
This was a great class by Nicola Kerridge. Not only did we get a great Making Memories Distress Tool in our class kit, but we distressed everything, including the photo, something I'd never done before. We all felt very relaxed after this class.
I don't normally scrap my animals at all, my subjects tend to be my children and husband, but these pictures of Jack went perfectly with Lorraine Abletts class! We embossed paper, made our own banner, used liquid pearls and hand drew our own scallops! The perfect class to get you in the mood for Scrapping!!
As well as a fab weekend scrapping, the shop was fantastic as well and I bought loads of goodies. One of the "must have" purchases was the new Scotch ATG Gun, and I love mine! One roll of tape completed approximately 12 entire layouts, which is really good going for me, as I use loads and loads of tape because I hate it when layouts fall apart!!! One technique that I'm going to use going forward is gutting! I never do it, but it certainly has it's advantages!!
I also bought the class kits for Eileen Webdale and Kirsty Wiseman's classes, so watch out for further posts! Eileens class was all about your camera, so I've taken a (not very) good picture today in my bedroom mirror, and Kirsty's class was all about using hybrid elements for a normal paper layout!

I'm still jealous - lovely LOs - hmmph!!! LOL
