Lottie and Me

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!  Well Christmas is over, and I now have 3 days until Emily turns 9, and the mayhem starts again for a day or so!!

I have taken some time out of Christmas and Birthday prep, and I completed this cute layout!  My friend, Sally, has a lovely little dog called Lottie.  Emily absolutely loves Lottie, and whenever I go to have my nails done, Emily wants to come with me.

This particular visit, Emily was disappointed as all Lottie wanted to do was curl up under the chair and go to sleep.  Just before we were about to go, Emily sat on the floor to say goodbye to Lottie, and Lottie came and climbed on Emily's lap.  Take a look…..

I wanted to keep my layout uncluttered so that everyone will look at the photo, as the two of them together are gorgeous!  I don't usually leave a lot of white space on my layouts, so this was a new one on me.  I like the white space and the use of the different patterned papers.  I did feel like I wanted to put more bling on it though, and had to stop myself!

Here is the photo and elements close up.  I love how the flowers frame the picture, and the little hearts with love on them just add the finishing touch.  Emily was thrilled that Lottie climbed on her knee for a cuddle, so the picture just had to be scrapped!
